We take great care in ensuring that our puppies are placed in the best homes possible. If you are interested in a Macushla puppy, please review the following regarding our process.
For those interested in a Macushla puppy, we offer the option of being added to our waitlist. It is important to note that submission of your application does not guarantee you will be added to the list or the availability of a puppy. However, it does allow us to get to know you better and keep track of individuals who have expressed interest in our breeding program, their preferences, and contact information. When a breeding is confirmed, we will reach out to those on the waitlist to see if they wish to move forward. There is no obligation to be added to the waitlist, and we encourage you to reach out to us with any questions you may have about our breeding program or the placement process. We strive to maintain transparency and communication with our placement homes to ensure a smooth and enjoyable process for all involved.
We take great care in placing our puppies in homes where they will thrive and receive the best possible care. To ensure the best possible placement, we will take the time to get to know each potential family which helps us determine if they are a suitable candidate for a puppy and allows us to match each puppy with its ideal owner. By understanding each owner's lifestyle, experience with pets, and preferences, we can make informed decisions about which puppy is best suited for each home. Ultimately, this helps us ensure that our puppies are placed where they will receive the love, care, and attention they need to live happy and healthy lives.
We decide where each puppy will be placed after taking the time to get to know the litter and potential families (oftentimes this takes place sometime between seven to eight weeks). Our goal is always to match a puppy with an owner whose lifestyle and goals align with that dog's unique temperament and strengths.
Proper care and socialization of our puppies is of the utmost importance. We require that all of our puppies remain with their mother for a minimum of eight weeks before being placed. This period is crucial for proper growth and development, as puppies learn essential social and life skills from their mother and littermates during this time. It is also important for the mother to have ample time to care for and wean her puppies before they are placed in their new homes. This eight-week period is not negotiable.
